out to sea

I pulled together a palette of yellow mellows
from the stunning Resort Collection from Nicholas Ghesquière
for Louis Vuitton 2015.

Bleached blondes stood out in a collection
rich in reference to coral reefs, nautical themes
and vivid underwater colors reflecting the shores
off the coast of Monaco where the show was staged.

Can't you feel the sunshine?

perfect present

Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015

It was a collection of realistic knee-lengths
and youthful takes on lace and trim but this one look
had me dreaming of walking the red carpet.

An oversized bow wraps a floral silk column –
the perfect present for any woman's Gala wardrobe

you tip-toeing through the tulips all day long.

glittering tiaras

Chanel presented it's Resort 2015 Collection in Dubai
in a mirage of mosaics, palm trees, sheers and sequins.

And nestled into golden spun hair
were a range of sequined crescent moon tiaras
glittering in the Arabian twilight.

frieze 2014

Yayoi Kusama's brings her signature polka-dots to
David Zwirner Gallery stand at this year's Frieze Art Fair.

That's one pumpkin that clearly
stands out from the patch.

#bringbackourgirls

 – Shout it from the rooftops –

As a mother of two girls, this act of insanity enrages
my heart. No matter what senseless acts are committed
worldwide against girls yearning for a better life through education
you cannot and will not stop us from aiming for something better

i heart mum

#HappyMother'sDay2014

A Shout-Out to all those mums out there who
take it all on, in style and with love.

A classic denim shirt from Mother Denim
seems the perfect uniform for the 24/7 job.
Says: glam but not afraid to roll up her sleeves
to get any task done.

daisy face

Will surely be in touch via skype
but all set to let my mom know just how much I think of her
not just tomorrow on mother's day, but every. day.

does start with mum – with her starts life.

paris in brooklyn

Christian Dior Resort 2015

The resort collections have hit the runways
and loved the way that Raf Simons played with the
notions of the original Dior Carrés, bold graphic scarf
elements contrasting to black.

Love the combination of red and pink.
Bold, graphics in flowing, fluid silk.

all hail the donut, eh

Nothing like being back in Toronto, home of the donut.
With what seems to be almost a donut store at every corner
I do enjoy my morning glazed sour cream.

Raised Maple, Raised Chocolate, Hawaiian
Glazed Sour cream, Sour cream, Cruellers, Timbits...
seems to be a flavour for every day of the week.
Tororonto loves its donuts!

met gala 2014

Of all the fashionistas at this year's Met Gala
I was surprised to be taken by funny girl, Sarah Silvermann,
as a stand-out winner.

She was, i dare say, simply stunning
in voluminous Zac Posen. Had to draw it.

flower

Am in Toronto this week, and boy, this town sure could use
a little bit of flowering Spring. Thought this urban lacy number
from London's Christopher Kane would be the perfect thing
to help remind Mother Nature what season we're in over here...

Not only do I love the contrast of inset lace to fleece sweatshirt but
I'm a born sucker for graphic type on anything.

homage to the square

After years of painting Albers-inspired guoache studies in art school
naturally this rug caught my eye. Produced by UK-based Christopher Farr Editions, this limited edition
is produced in conjunction with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation.

This hand-tufted wool carpet, derived from the 1951 Albers (oil on masonite)
painting makes this a mid-century modernist must-have!
